April 2008 We first met Mike & Di in October 2007, Oscar my English Springer Spaniel was referred via my vet as he had a ruptured Cruciate ligament unable to operate due to complications we took Oscar to prepare him for future surgery and boost his floundering moral. Oscar the usual spaniel had gone from being the whappy bundle of fun to a very miserable and sick dog I knew Mike would have his work cut out. Mike and Di are a wonderful thoughtful couple their approach to the hydrotherapy and each dog that goes through their doors is met with a visible passion this is not just a livelihood to them they genuinely want the best for your dog and will go the extra mile to achieve this. Mike's knowledge and experience is second to none he will answer any question you have he offers really good health advice for the well being of your dog and where you haven't understood the vetinary jargon of your pets condition Mike will make it clearer for you. When you leave Doncaster Hydrotherapy you not only have the comfort that your treasured dog has just received 5* attention but that you have just made 2 really good new friends. I have learnt so much from Mike and Di in relation to Oscars condition there has been some rough times with Oscars health and the support, advice and friendship Mike and Di have given me will always be remembered. March 2008 We have been taking Jaques-our Dogue De Bordeaux to Doncaster Hydrotherapy Centre since just after they opened last year, he was approximately 4 months old then and he is now 12 months old. Initially he attended with a slight limp but once he built up his physical strength swimming he never had any further problems with lameness and he now goes for 'fun & fitness' so I am fortunate that he is not attending due to injury but still realise the benefits of his weekly swim, hence he has attended every week for the past 8 months, and he will continue to attend until Mike and Di retire!!! (Hopefully not in the next 10 or so years....!!)The results of Jacques swims is amazing-he is extremely healthy, and extremely fit-there is no way that he could be at this level of fitness without his weekly swim. Mike and Di are an exceptional couple, both knowledgeable and dedicated, their attitude is professional but down to earth at the same time. I would not hesitate in recommending this form of exercise to any dog owner at Doncaster Hydrotherapy Centre, even after their success and growth they are still as dedicated and enthusiastic as when they first started-and although I am sure they have ample clients at present-if anyone had a problem dog they would not hesitate in welcoming it, their genuine concern for the welfare and well-being of dogs is exceptional. Finally for the mums and dads they do a fab hot chocolate! the relaxed atmosphere and lighthearted banter during the swim is great-and your beloved pooch comes out smelling rather yummy!!
